WHERE HAVE BECKLEY RANGERS FC COME FROM

Beckley Rangers was formed back in 1996 by Phil Brain and Peter Sands who both had sons at Beckley Primary school. Phil is a Beckley Man who still lives in the village and Peter lives in Broad Oak.

They started a team built around their sons and their friends. From there it grew season by season with the adding of new teams where there was a demand for them. On average Beckley fielded 3 to 4 teams during the clubs during the Brain / Sands years.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

The Club has gone through a period of rapid growth over the past 3 seasons and we find ourselves with a club that has over 130 members.

Beckley Rangers FC are run by a large team of volunteers, there’s nearly 30 people who give their time and enthusiasm to their roles / teams / players.

We play at various grounds but our main home has been Frewen College Sports ground in Northiam. They have been very generous to us which we will be eternally grateful for. We also play at Northiam Recreation Ground and Peasmarsh Sports Ground.

The aim is to introduce the players to football, the club and be a catalyst for future Beckley Rangers Teams. We are confident by starting them early we can give our players the footballing skills and knowledge to add success to the list of positives that can be gained by being part of Beckley Rangers.

OUR CLUB ETHOS

Our aim is to be different from other clubs by offering football to all players no matter what stage of their development.

Our approach is to satisfy all players needs from the strongest to the weakest and we will achieve this by building our league teams around the stronger players in the squad while organising friendly fixtures / Inter club games for our developing players.

This we believe will give us an opportunity to stretch the players who we feel will benefit from a more competitive environment, while helping the development players to improve the basic skills and confidence with both league and development team games our ethos will be the same “We want our players to do their best, work hard for each other, embrace learning and above all else have fun while doing it.

OUR ETHOS

Beckley Rangers FC have a reputation in the local area for providing a fun and safe environment for young boys and girls to discover the pleasures to be reaped and the life lessons to be learned from playing team sports.
