Histon Hornets

Histon Hornets FC are a Cambridgeshire FA affiliated club in the East of England offering opportunities for youth grassroots football.

Histon Hornets Football Club is a Charter Standard club affiliated with Cambridgeshire Football Association. We are based in Histon & Impington, just North of Cambridge and run by volunteers to help local children enjoy football in a supportive and healthy environment.

Formed in the 1970s, have grown steadily over the last 25 years and have nearly 30 teams participating regularly from U5 to Adults. New players are always welcome to come training prior to signing on.

The Club is committed to, and abides by, the FA rules and regulations concerning coaching, child Welfare and grass roots football development. We have a Child Protection Officer and, in keeping with our FA Charter Standard status, full CRC checks and minimum Level 1 coaching qualifications in place for all teams.

As a club we are always on the lookout for willing volunteers, whether it be helping in the match day tea hut, refereeing or coaching the children – all help is gratefully received.

The club has a number of junior grassroots football teams which play in the Cambridge & District Colts League, the Cambridge Mini Soccer League and the Cambridgeshire Womens and Girls County Football League.
