Woodley Wanderers FC

Woodley Wanderers FC are a junior grassroots football club offering many opportunities for junior grassroots football around Berkshire, in the South East.

Woodley Wanderers Youth Football Club was founded in 1971 and is an FA Charter Standard Club (which means we have been recognised for providing a safe and quality footballing environment which meets the requirements of the FA), attracting players not only from Woodley and Reading, but also nearby towns and villages, with coaches trained to a minimum of FA Level 1, DBS checked and First Aid trained.

We currently have 17 youth teams from Under 7’s right through to Under 18’s.

We were also one of the first clubs in the area to start a ‘Multi Skills’ section (now “Mini Kickers”) which concentrates on children aged 4 to Year 1 inclusive, who are not permitted to play in a team in a league under FA rules.

It prepares players ready to play in our teams at Year 2 children, playing 5v5 football in the Berkshire Youth Development League on all weather pitches from September to April. This group focuses on the skills required for any sport and is delivered in a fun and innovative way.

Woodley Wanderers FC has a number of junior grassroots football teams which play in the following leagues Berkshire Youth Development League, Reading and West Berkshire League and the Peter Houseman Youth Football League.
