Parent Code of Conduct

Respect Parent Code of Conduct to be given to grassroots football parents to read and sign in advance of the new football season.

RESPECT CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS / CARERS 2023-24

Respect Parent Code of Conduct‘We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.

”This club is supporting the FA’s Respect programme to ensure everyone can enjoy football in a safe and positive environment.”

  • Play your part and observe this code of conduct for spectators, parents and carers at all times.’
  • Remain outside the field of play and behind the designated spectator area (where provided).
  • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour.
  • Always respect the match official’s decisions.
  • Applaud effort and good play, as well as success – for both teams playing.
  • Remember that young people play football for FUN.
  • Encourage the players to respect the opposition and match officials.
  • Mistakes are part of learning. Never criticise a player for making a mistake.
  • Ensure that friends and family watching my child adheres to this code of conduct.
  • Be responsible for payment of all fines incurred by my child or myself.
  • Always get my child to match and training on time.
