The West Midlands is one of the nine official regions of England. It consists of Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. It embraces seven metropolitan boroughs: the cities of Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton, and the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall.Â
There are five FA Counties in the West Midlands, offering opportunities for youth grassroots football. These are Birmingham FA, Herefordshire FA, Shropshire FA, Staffordshire FA and Worcestershire FA. Each of these are responsible for developing and supporting all grassroots football within each of their separate counties.
